dc.description.abstractotrodiomaThe relationship between violent behavior and psychiatric symptomatology was investigated in the study involving 113 patients with schizophrenia. The severity of the psychiatric symptoms was evaluated using the PANSS. OAS was used to evaluate the violent behaviors.Results revealed associations between hallucinations, delusions, excitement, poor impluse control and thinking disturbances with violent behaviors. Thus the study led to the conclusion that violent behavior in schizophrenic patients can be explained through association between violence ad course of illness and specific symptoms.es_ES
